The series Knuckles, derived from the film franchise Sonic, just arrived on Paramount+ and has already become the most watched original series in streaming. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the production has reached 4 million hours watched since its launch a week ago.
In addition to Elba as the voice of Knuckles, the series also features Edi Patterson (The right gemstones), Scott Mescudi (Don’t look up), Ellie Taylor (Ted Lasso), Rory McCann (game of Thrones) and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future) in the cast.
Tied to the films, the spin-off production takes place between the events of sonic 2, released in 2022, and its future sequel, Sonic 3which will debut in theaters on December 20th this year.
According to the synopsis, the new series will follow Knuckles as he trains his human companion Wade Whipple (Adam Pally) to become a warrior, while also trying to defend himself from people who will try to use his power for other purposes.
