The Netflix platform announced this Friday (1/7) that the second season of “Young Royals” will arrive in November 2022 – no date set yet.
In addition, the first images of the new episodes have been revealed on social networks. In them, the gaze turns mainly to Whilhelm (Edvin Ryding) and Simon (Omar Rudberg).
The new story on the Royal College is expected to be filled with “secrets, revenge” and even “threats to the monarchy” as described by Netflix in the post.
The Swedish drama was renewed last year, about two months after its official streaming debut. But, at the time, what caught the eye was a video of the cast thanking Brazilian fans for their love.
The series that teenagers loved tells the story of a young prince, who goes to study in a high society boarding school after having problems that have damaged the image of royalty. Upon his arrival at the elite school, he is introduced to Simon, one of the high school choir members, and their friendship soon takes on a romantic depth, but several barriers prevent them from being together.
The first season had six 40-minute episodes written by Lisa Ambjörn, Sofie Forsman and Tove Forsman, and the story will continue with six more chapters.
