His first role in the cinema

At the end of the featurette, at exactly 1 hour 29 minutes and 37 seconds, a silhouette of a soldier appears, running through the snow with his gun, approaching his superior, saying, “I think I heard them coming.” “I think I heard them coming.”. And this actor is the famous James Dean.

In Bayonet With a Cannon, he only has one line and barely a minute of screen time, but this is his first role in a feature film. Not bad at first, he appears in a film directed by Sam Fuller, who years later would sign the excellent westerns 40 Killers, Drug Port and Shock Corridor.

Fame at the age of 24

After Bayonet, James Dean went to play in TV series or shoot plays. We find her on the big screen as an extra in Sailor Polka, Who Has Seen My Beauty? and A Man Like No Other, before he was cast in 1955 for a role in East of Eden, which launched his career.
