The “Stranger Things” series set another record on your account, amassing 7.2 billion minutes of views in the United States.

The impressive performance was revealed in a report by Nielsen Media Research this Friday (1/7). Netflix’s attraction hit that tally in the week of May 30 to June 5, when it recorded the highest weekly total ever seen for any streaming title in the country.

Previously, the debut of the first volume recorded 5.14 billion minutes of viewing by Nielsen’s measurements, which brought the two-week total of the series to approximately 12.34 billion.

According to previous data from the consulting firm, no streaming program had hit the 6 billion minute mark in just one week.

The closest record was for “Tiger King” and “Ozark”, which had surpassed 5 billion minutes during the quarantine periods of the covid-19 pandemic in 2020.

Converted into hours, the standard used by Netflix, the total comes to 205.6 billion.

The number supports Netflix’s measurements, which point to “Stranger Things” as the most viewed English-language series of all time on the platform, with 930 million hours worldwide.

Volume 2 of Season 4 arrived this Friday (07/01) causing streaming crashes, due to the rush of fans to check out the adventures.

The franchise is expected to continue to hit new viewership records before the fifth season arrives.
