Superman 2025: New Superhero Costume Finally Revealed! And this detail speaks volumes!

Director James Gunn has finally revealed the new Superman in full costume! After Henry Cavill, it’s David Korenswet who slips into the tights of the famous DC superhero. The feature film will be released in theaters on July 9, 2025.

Return of the underwear!

Fans of The Last Son of Krypton will immediately notice an important detail! Indeed, Superman’s iconic red underpants are making a comeback after being discarded in the last costume worn by Henry Cavill on the big screen.

The logo is apparently the same one that James Gunn revealed some time ago. Aesthetically, the new look of the superhero is a mix between tradition and modernity, meeting the vintage aspect of Christopher Reeve and the futuristic dimension of Henry Cavill.

Announcing the project, Peter Safran, CEO of DC Studios, elaborated: “The story will focus on Superman trying to find a balance between his Kryptonian heritage and his human upbringing.
