Anne Hathaway returns to her favorite genre, the romantic comedy, with The Idea of Being With You. This adaptation of Robin Lee’s bestseller follows the romance between a woman in her forties and a young man who is part of a successful boy band.
The novel is loosely inspired by the love life of English singer Harry Styles (the character in the series – named Hayes Campbell – is played by Nicholas Galitzin). Even before its release, the film has generated extraordinary enthusiasm, suggesting a hit on Prime Video.
The impression was reinforced by the first mostly positive reviews. Netizens were especially impressed with the alchemy that emerges in the couple created by the two lead actors.
