“Profession Danger” is an action-comedy starring Ryan Gosling as Colt Shivers, a stuntman who tries to get his career back on track while investigating the disappearance of Hollywood star Tom Ryder, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The plot thickens when Colt tries to reconcile with director Jody Moreno, played by Emily Blunt, with whom he previously had a romantic relationship.
If you’re thinking of watching it soon, here’s what you need to know about what happens at the end.
Warning: Spoilers for the movie “Profession Danger” will be revealed below.
Does the movie “Occupation Hazard” have any post-production scenes?
The answer is yes, but somewhat different from what audiences were used to Marvel movies. For starters, the film starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt has special shots while the credits roll, not at the end of them, as well as two additional glimpses it offers viewers.
On the one hand, recordings of real-life actors are shown, showing the stunts they achieve in front of the camera, but also the dangers of their profession, such as injuries and even death.
In addition, in the middle of the credits we see a scene that closes “Profession Danger” for good: two police officers arrest the actor Tom Ryder. We also witness how Tom Ryder explodes while trying to escape, after which his representative Alma Millan (Stephanie Hsu) requests that Jason Momoa contact him.
That is, the post-credit scene of ‘Profession Danger’ gives no clues or foreshadowing of a sequel.
Given that both the film’s director and cast have referred to the project as “a love letter to voice actors,” it’s no surprise that it ended up this way.
The “Easter egg” of the scene after the concert of the movie “Occupational Hazard”
While the footage is the definitive closure of the story, it has a wink that not everyone may recognize: the cops who arrest Tom Ryder are played by Lee Majors and Heather Thomas, who starred in “The Fall Guy,” the Decades TV series of the ’80s, whose story was reinvented for the film.
In an interview with ‘NBC’, ‘Profession Danger’ director David Leitch said that it was Lee himself who approached him about being part of the film:
“I was very excited that they finally got it back [la historia de Colt Seavers]. He reached out in person and we talked about what he was doing. Majors said: “Whatever you do with it [personaje], I trust you’. I was like, Seriously??? Wow, that’s cool.'”
After that first conversation, they decided to add Heather Thomas in the post-credits scene: “I think they were both excited to meet in this fun way,” the director added.
