At the end of March 2024, AlloCiné had the opportunity to go to the filming of “This is where it all begins” (broadcast Monday to Friday from 18:30 on TF1) in Saint Malo, Brittany. For the purposes of special intrigue surrounding the Coupe de France de cuisine, a good number of teams in the series traveled from the south.
Axel Dodier, who plays Kelly, made a few revelations on our mic about what’s next for his character and Letitia (Florence Coste). Once there, mother and daughter will truly face their past… Kelly will also quickly realize that her beloved mother wasn’t entirely honest with her when they left!

AlloCiné: What’s next for Kelly and Letitia Brittany in “This Is Where It All Begins”?
Axel Dodier: In this arch, under the decoration of the Coupe de France, we realize that Kelly and Laetitia already lived in the past, where the competition takes place. We’re going to retrace their steps before the Institute and find out more… They’ve escaped their past and are facing it today. Why did they leave Brittany? Why did they come to the south? And mix in all that, of course, all the intrigue of the Coupe de France and other intrigues…
Did Laetitia keep secrets from Kelly at the time?
Kelly is faced with her mother’s lies. We will learn that there is much that is left unsaid and that is not revealed… It will be very difficult for him knowing that he also has to manage his brigade for the Coupe de France. It’s going to be tough for Kelly, but she’s strong after everything she’s been through!
How will Kelly’s reunion with Chef Lenglart go (Victoria Montfort)
It’s the way their relationship went: I mean, it’s not good (laughs) Anyway, Kelly’s not going to let herself down… she’s got ambition, anyway! He wants to fulfill his mission to participate in the Coupe de France. Will he win? I can’t tell you, but Lenglart will be quite the obstacle.
Did you enjoy this shoot in Brittany, away from the castle?
Brittany is where ITC is most followed in France! It’s crazy. I think it is so beautiful and symbolic that we are highlighting this region. It’s crazy that we come here and can meet people without even knowing they’re following us the most. It’s all very beautiful.
How does “this is where it all starts” feel?
In three and a half years, we are very attached to the people we work with. It becomes a family, it’s a daily life (…) Talking about Kelly’s character, you have to see how it develops. It’s a discussion with production, but I’m not closed to Kelly staying.
