Amanda Meirelles reappears after three days of work in intensive care in the RS: “There is no point in exposing”

The BBB 23 winner has the opposite attitude to BBB 24 champion Davi, prioritizing work over promotion to help the state of Rio Grande do Sul

“BBB 23” saleswoman Amanda Meirelles did the opposite of “BBB 24” winner Davi Brito and disappeared from social media after volunteering to help Rio Grande do Sul flood victims. The former BBB, who is a doctor, posted again this Friday (10/5) to reassure her followers, revealing that she has been working in an intensive care unit at the Canoas hospital for three days.

“I understand that some people want to know what the experience is like here. Some media outlets have also reached out for interviews,” Amanda Meirelles began in a video posted to Instagram Stories. “Since I arrived here I have not yet left the intensive care unit. I am in the intensive care unit. Here we have more vulnerable, critical, sedated, intubated patients”, said the young doctor, who preferred to concentrate on work rather than marketing personal.

The goal is not to appear

Amanda stressed that, given the context of her patients, she cannot share photos or videos. “It makes no sense to me to expose them. Many of them are protected only by an apron. We preserve the images of the patients.”

“I show up to talk about what we need, encouraging donations. The day I’m not in intensive care I can show you the city. But that’s not my intention. My intention is to come here, work, help my work and show you what we really need,” he added.

She revealed that since arriving, she has only had time to see the situation in the city this Friday (5/10), and took the opportunity to visit some shelters and see what they need.

Thelma Assis and Marcela McGowan do the same>/h2>

In addition to Amanda, other former BBB doctors, such as “BBB 20” winner Thelma Assis and Marcela McGowan have also volunteered in Rio Grande do Sul. Furthermore, they only published posts asking for help for the victims of the heavy rains that have been hitting the state of Rio Grande do Sul since the end of April.
