Teams of Love and Thunder and Disney+ series needed to line up plot to portray gods correctly
For the new phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the teams of Thor: Love and Thunder and moon knight kept in constant contact so that the plots were in harmony, as both are full of mythological references.
Jeremy Slaterdirector of moon knightsaid in a conversation with The Playlist how they lined up the plots of each story.
We talked extensively with the producers of Thor: Love and Thunderjust to find out what they were doing with the gods in their story, to make sure we didn’t contradict their concept.
Slater comments that, at the time of filming, the productions had no idea when they would premiere, so the dialogue between the teams was essential for each universe to be unique and well based on the mythological reference.
Finally, the filmmaker reinforced the support they had from Marvel to “tell your story in your own corner of the MCU“. “For them, the Egyptian gods could be separated from everything else, especially since we only use three of them during the series,” he concluded.
the first season of moon knight is now available on Disney+While Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on July 7th.
