A 29-year-old man has been arrested on charges of killing his ex-girlfriend and her father inside the family home in Miracatu, in the hinterland of Sao Paulo. The crime occurred in the building where the victim’s mother was staying. He had a precautionary order against his ex.

As determined by Earth, the victims are Francisco Xavier Marques de Queiroz and Yasmin Santos de Queiroz. According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), the case occurred on the night of last Saturday 11th, in the residence where the young woman lived with her parents, in Rua Joaquim Pedroso, in the center of the city.
The Military Police were called and when they arrived at the address they found the victim’s mother who reported the incident. According to the woman, Yasmin’s ex-boyfriend entered the property after breaking in and damaging the kitchen door, shooting the victims shortly afterwards. He then fled in a VW / Gol.
According to the Prime Minister, he was captured in the early hours of this Monday 13, during an operation with vehicles from Miracatu, Registro and Iguape. A siege was organized in “Sítio Oliveira”, owned by the suspect.
Once there, the gate of the location was open and it was possible to see the vehicle used for the crime. In the house outside the house the light was on and there was a door with broken glass, in which the police saw the man lying on the ground. He surrendered and was arrested.
A sum of money and bank cards were found in his car. Once they arrived at the property, officers found a holster for a firearm, but the weapon was not located. He was taken to the Miracatu headquarters police station and the man was taken to the civil state prison, where he is at the disposal of the justice department.
The case was closed as femicide, failure to comply with an urgent protective measure and murder at the city police station, which requested an expert opinion. The motive for the crime was not disclosed by the Civil Police.
Xavier was a machine operator at the Miracatu municipality. The municipal administration regrets what happened. “Xavier has provided excellent service to the municipality. We are moved by the departure of this dear servant and offer our sincere condolences to his family, relatives and friends, praying to God to comfort their hearts.” The burial of the two took place on the morning of this Monday the 13th.
