“The problem with dialogue is that it tends to slow things down, and film is a medium that’s often best enjoyed at high speed,” he said.

The Australian director was inspired by silent cinema and the artists who became famous thanks to this genre, such as Charles Chaplin, taking on the challenge of capturing the universality of emotions and situations, which he hopes to achieve with the sparse use of dialogue. Furious’.

In addition to Anya Taylor-Joy’s dialogue, Miller also wanted to do the street scenes with practical effects instead of digital, to make everything look more “authentic”.
