‘Planet of the Apes’: What item does Mae steal from the building she enters with Noa and her friends?

In “Planet of the Apes: War,” a movie released in 2017, Caesar faced The Colonel, a human who tried to lock the apes back. After an unprecedented battle, the apes won their freedom, although Caesar did not survive, his message to live in peace with humans went on for hundreds of years.

‘Planet of the Apes’ returns with new characters

Several generations after Caesar’s death, the apes live in peace and harmony. The movie “Planet of the Apes: New Kingdom” opens with Noa, a young ape who has to get an eagle egg, as it is part of his community to have a ritual to bond with said animal.

After a “Nova” (human) enters her village, Noa must search for a new egg, but unwittingly gives way to the followers of Proximus Caesar, an ape who wants to rule the world at all costs.

After her family is kidnapped, Noah embarks on a journey to rescue them, while a “nova” named May joins because she has the same fate, but with a different mission.

A virus has destroyed the humans’ brains and they have become another species on earth, so Mae, who has the ability to speak and understand apes, must reach a military technology hangar, which Proximus Caesar calls “the vault” and he has claimed it as his own, which is why this tyrannical leader has put the other monkeys to work breaking down the main door, without success.

What does Mae steal from the military hangar and then blow up?

Mae and Noa make a strange alliance so they can get into the military tech hangar, which they think is a “nova” that shouldn’t be left in the hands of the apes because it’s human property.

After entering, Noa realizes that the place has weapons, computers, books and other items that show that many civilized people lived there. Mae takes advantage and takes an item from one of the machines, then blows the place up and travels to a new military base.

Upon arrival, Mae realizes that there is a colony of people who were not infected with the virus and hands over the strange item she picked up: a SATCOM key that operates the satellites in the area.

In doing so, the group of people in a cabin try to contact other communities, receiving a response from Fort Wayne, Indiana, confirming that there are more people who are not infected and are ready to take back control of Earth.
