Comcast announced on Tuesday (14) the launch of a new package that will combine NBCUniversal’s streaming service, Peacock, with content from Netflix and Apple TV+. Called StreamSaver, the unique plan comes as a strategy against stiff competition in the streaming market, as reported by Reuters.

Comcast has long been dealing with a loss of subscribers to its broadband service. Customer churn has also been one of the major issues facing the streaming industry.
Therefore, more and more companies are turning to partnerships to combat the loss of subscribers and compete with rivals: the industry leader continues to be Netflix.
It’s worth mentioning that the streaming merger comes after Warner Bros. Discovery and Walt Disney announced a similar package, but offering a single plan for Disney+, Hulu and Max.
