Last November, Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio announced a new story that made martial arts movie fans jump for joy! Currently in production, the feature film was scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2024. Unfortunately, Sony Pictures has revealed that The Karate Kid will finally arrive later than expected, pushing the film to May 28, 2025.
We don’t know the reasons for this postponement decision, but it comes shortly after the announcement of the air date for the 6th season of the spin-off series Cobra Kai. It will be planned in 3 parts: the first on July 18, the second on November 28 and the last in 2025.
