The Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, has asked that the defendants who have been on the run since January 8 be included in the red list of the International Police (Interpol). The request was made on Wednesday 15th. The fugitives went to Argentina and Uruguay, passing through the borders of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.

According to Estadão Conteúdo, the PGR also called for the issuance of arrest warrants for defendants on bail with electronic ankle bracelets and the issuance of an international alert to all fugitives, with the aim of “ensuring the application of criminal law”. in total, 51 people have outstanding arrest warrants.

Among the fugitives is Alethea Veruska Soares, 49 years old. Born in São José dos Campos, she was sentenced by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to 17 years in prison for having participated in the incident of 8 January 2023, but she fled, in January this year, to Uruguay and then to Argentina.
