Comcast, a US telecommunications group, revealed this Tuesday (21) that its single plan offer with Netflix, Apple TV and Peacock will cost 15 dollars (approximately R $ 76) per month for all Xfinity Internet and TV customers. Called StreamSaver, the “package” comes as a strategy against strong competition in the market, but unfortunately it is not expected to benefit Brazil.
Comcast, a telecommunications company, is the largest Internet access provider and the third largest telephone company in the United States. It has several subsidiaries, including NBCUniversal, which owns Peacock.
Faced with the loss of broadband service subscribers for some time, customer churn has also been one of the major issues facing the streaming industry, prompting more and more companies to turn to partnerships to combat subscriber loss and compete with rivals, the industry leader remains Netflix.
It is worth mentioning that the union between Netflix, Apple TV and Peacock through the intermediary Comcast comes after Warner Bros. Discovery and Walt Disney announced a similar package, but this to offer a single plan for Disney+, Hulu and Max.
The service will initially launch only in the United States. The values were not revealed. Check the details here!
