The Young and the Restless: Is Chance Really Dead?

“The Young and the Restless” Abby’s dream life turned into a nightmare… Although Melissa Orway’s character found love by chance, the couple faced many trials in recent months.

Is “The Young and the Restless” really dead?

Naturally planning to start a family, the young people realized that it would be very difficult for them to conceive a child. So Maria (Camryn Grimes, who recalled a scenario that made her uncomfortable) volunteered to be their surrogate mother, and Devon (Bryton James) agreed to donate their sperm. Except by chance, he was called on a secret mission far from Genoa City!

Due to this twist of fate, Nina’s son (Tricia Cast, who names who she would like to see back on the series) is unable to follow through with the pregnancy, and Abby finds herself alone at this important stage in their lives together. In addition, the daughter of Victor (Eric Brayden) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) lived in agony for many weeks when Maria, almost an adult, was kidnapped!

Fortunately, Cassie’s twin was found and Chance and Abby’s son Dominic was born perfectly healthy. Unfortunately, the latter comes with some terrible news… Christine (Lauralee Bell) reveals that her husband died in an explosion that occurred during training.

Conner Floyd becomes a new chance

Thus, in the episodes of The Young and the Restless, currently broadcast on TF1 (the cult series is offered on the channel from Monday to Friday at 11 am), Abby is completely devastated after discovering that her husband died on the forehead. However, the main interested party also remains deeply convinced that his loved one is in fact alive… but is he really?

In the following installments of the series, page one viewers will actually find out that no chance was given in this attack! So he’ll be back home in a few days to be reunited with his loved ones, Ab and their new baby.

On the other hand, the main character will no longer be played by Donnie Boaz, who previously played the role, nor by his temporary replacement, Justin Gaston. This time, the hero will be played by Conner Floyd, who the public may have seen in several small TV movies.

Cast in late 2021 (about a three-year gap between the American broadcast on CBS and the French broadcast on TF1), the actor still appears today in the credits of The Young and the Restless in the United States. After playing a few people, Conner Floyd seems to have convinced the producers of American Fiction to keep him around… and that’s a good thing!
