Chicago Fire: The main character’s departure in the season 12 finale

It’s time to say goodbye on Chicago Fire… The Season 12 finale, which aired this Wednesday, May 22 in the US, was indeed marked by the departure of Chef Wallace Boden’s interpreter, Eamonn Walker. Since the start of the series in 2012, he will not be in the credits from the next season.

Boden leaves Barack

After a difficult run, Boden decides to run for deputy commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department to challenge candidates who he believes are failing to run the department as it should.

Unfortunately, if he manages to get a job, he will have to leave 51 for good. After a lengthy discussion with the team, he tells Herman (David Eigenberg) that he wants him to take his place at the helm of the barracks if he leaves.

Later, when he thought he had lost all chances, Boden discovers that Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) has traveled to Oakland to act as a guarantor and prove how good she is at bringing people together. Thus, he was appointed Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department.

With 252 episodes of Chicago Fire, Eamon Walker is the third Chicago Fire actor to leave the series during its 12th season. Alberto Rosende and Kara Kilmer also said goodbye in the first half of the episodes. However, the actor is set to return to appear in future seasons, with his character still evolving in the Chicago Fire universe.

Jack Damon is Kelly Severide’s half-brother

This sudden departure isn’t the only announcement from the Chicago Fire season 12 finale. Jack Damon (Michael Bradway), the newest recruit to Firehouse 51, revealed an unexpected secret in the final minutes of this finale.

He actually confided in Kelly Severide (Taylor Keane) that he lost his temper during their last engagement because he saw how the father treated his son. He then revealed to her that he was also abused as a child at the hands of his father…whose name was Benny Severide.

Jack Damon is none other than Severide’s half-brother. How will this revelation affect the firefighter? Answer in Season 13 of Chicago Fire, which is set to air on NBC next school year.
