Last question from Jamal Malik
So we’re in the final moments of Slumdog Millionaire. Jamal Malik’s entire life, and especially his desperate quest to find the woman of his life, Latika, flashed before his eyes when he landed the game show auditions.
The young man must now answer the last question:
“In Alexandre Dumas’ masterpiece The Three Musketeers, the two musketeers are named Athos and Porthos. What is the name of the third musketeer?”
Before he decides to use “call a friend” and thinks he’s calling his brother, Jamal hears Latika’s voice on the other end of the line. The young woman tells him it’s safe now, so Jamal answers the game’s question at random, winning the final amount and also solving the first riddle of the film for the audience.

A musical shout of joy
The feature film then ends with one last song – fun and catchy Jai yes – in which Jamal and Latika begin a brilliant choreography as they find themselves on the station platform, which is soon imitated by the entire cast of the film.
This final sequence, a brilliant and passionate tribute to Bollywood dances, also inspired many choreographies among viewers around the world, especially among the AlloCiné teams who chose to close the last episode of the series. Thank you WHO on the voice Jai yes14 years ago…
