“Brigerton” fans are looking forward to June 13 as this date marks the premiere of Part 2 of Season 3 of the show.
As the day progresses, they can watch other similar series and movies, or read the books it’s based on (and which it sometimes makes noticeable changes to). Next, we explain the order to follow for reading.
How many are Bridgerton’s books?
The Bridgerton series consists of eight core books, each focusing on one of the Bridgerton siblings: Daphne, Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Penelope, Eloise, Francesca, and Gregory.
Additionally, Julia Quinn has written other novels based on the same fictional universe. There is, for example, a prequel to the saga, which focuses on the generation before the Bridgertons, the Rokesbys. In addition, there are four spin-off books from the original series, including “Queen Charlotte,” which is a collaboration between Julia Quinn and Shonda Rhimes and was written based on the series of the same name that Netflix released in 2023. Taking all Of these, Bridgerton’s world consists of up to 16 books.
How to read the Bridgertons in order?
The reading suggestion is to follow the birth order of each of the Bridgerton brothers.
“The Duke and I”: This book tells the story of Daphne Bridgerton, the eldest daughter of the family, and her passionate romance with the enigmatic Duke of Hastings.
“The whiskey man who loved me”: The second novel focuses on Anthony Bridgerton, the heir to the family, and his search for true love despite his rigid principles.
‘I give you my heart’: In this book, Benedict Bridgerton, the family artist, embarks on a romantic adventure with a woman who does not belong to his social class and who defies his expectations.
“Seducing Mr. Bridgerton”: Colin Bridgerton, the fourth brother, finds love in the least expected person: Penelope, the best friend of his sister Eloise.
“To Sir Phillip, with love”: Eloise Bridgerton, the fifth sister, decides to write letters to an unknown man, which leads her to an unexpected romance full of surprises.
“The Heart of a Bridgerton”: Francesca Bridgerton, the sixth sister, marries for love, but soon her “happily ever after” is shattered by tragedy, so she must rebuild her life and find a way to open her heart again.
‘For a kiss’: Hyacinth Bridgerton, the youngest of the Bridgerton women, falls in love with a young man who harbors a secret that could put their relationship in jeopardy.
“I’m looking for a husband”: In the final novel in the series, Gregory Bridgerton, the only remaining unmarried male sibling, embarks on a quest to find a suitable wife.
