The Westworld and Batman actor will participate in the second season of the adaptation, playing the same character he played in the game
Jeffrey Wright, actor nominated for an Oscar for his work in American fictionwas announced as the new addition to the cast of the second season of The last of us. She will play the live action version of Isaac, the character he voiced in the game The Last of Us: Part 2.

According to HBO, Wright joins the cast of the series in its second season, which may surprise some fans of the game, given that the character only appears in the second half of the story. This could indicate some changes in the adaptation, mainly due to the fact that it is split into multiple seasons.
Rumors indicated that the next season would adapt the first half of the game, with a third season covering the rest of the story, as the plot has a very clear division.
Isaac, a character played by Wright in the game and now in the live action series, can be described as a restrained but powerful leader of a militia trying to break free from the shackles of the Federal Disaster Response Agency (FEDRA). The character is linked to the story of Abby, the other protagonist of The Last of Us: Part 2who will be played by Kaitlyn Dever (Nobody will save you) on the Series.
Wright joins the cast formed by Pedro Pascal (Fantastic Four), Bella Ramsey (game of Thrones), Gabriele Luna (Agents of SHIELD) and Rutina Wesley (Real blood).
Together with the actor and Dever, Isabela Merced (Superman), the young Mazino (bullshits), Ariela Barer (wonderIt’s Runaways), Tati Gabrielle (Mortal Combat 2), Spencer Lord (Heart), Danny Ramirez (Falcon and the Universal Soldier) and Catherine O’Hara (The ghosts still have fun) will also be part of the new season.
The last of us is an adaptation of the game created by Naughty Dog, which shows Ellie and Joel, survivors in a post-apocalyptic world where an epidemic has decimated much of the world’s population. Ellie could be the thing that brings a cure to the world and is taken by Joel on a journey that will change their lives forever.
The first season of The last of us is available on Max. Season 2 will premiere on streaming and also on the HBO channel, but no release date has been announced yet.
