Evandro Ramos’ wife remains hospitalized in intensive care, as does the couple’s youngest son
The family and friends of Evandro Ramos and Johann Martins de Jesus Ramos, father and son who died after being hit by a car going the wrong way on Linha Verde, in Curitiba, organized a protest this Saturday afternoon (25) to demand justice . The protesters criticize the first procedures adopted by the Civil Police, as well as the almost immediate freedom of the driver Cristian Patrick Garcia Carvalho, 29 years old. The event started in Boca Maldita and continued at Praça Santos Andrade.
Cleverson Veríssimo is a family friend and said he understands that the initial investigative work was not done well.
“I don’t even know if what the Civil Police did after the raid can be classified as work. No witnesses were verified on site, Cristian’s car was not requested to be seized and nothing was done other than the policeman on duty reported it was manslaughter, but it didn’t happen that way, even though other investigations are already underway, there have been losses from the beginning and this is disgusting,” he said.
The raid took place on Saturday evening (11), in the Pinheirinho neighborhood, in Curitiba. Entering the wrong lane of Linha Verde, the driver of a Veloster collided with three cars and in one of these vehicles, a Celta, was the Ramos family.
Marlene Martins is Evandro’s aunt and says the “feeling of impunity” is difficult to live with.
“It’s horrible, people drive drunk and walk away peacefully, while we grieve the loss. Justice must understand that this driver took the risk of what happened,” he said.
Evandro’s wife remains hospitalized in intensive care, as does the couple’s youngest child.

For lawyer Delmar Januário it is more than proven that the break-in constitutes a crime of voluntary homicide.
“There was a possible intention, the risk due to the effect of alcohol,” he commented.
