Walker: Bad news for fans of detective series

The CW bids farewell to Walker. Indeed, the channel canceled the Jared Padalecki-led cop drama after just four seasons. The latter, who played the main role of Cordell Walker in the series from season 1, shared the disappointing news on his Instagram account.

A previous article from TVLine suggested that the series may be on the verge of cancellation, but the actor himself did not confirm the news until Tuesday, writing that Walker “The fifth season will not be broadcast.

It’s certainly difficult news, but we’re so thankful for the family the Walkers have created, both on and off the set. After four seasons we have felt the love and support of the entire Walker family and will be forever grateful“- wrote the actor on Instagram, who then wanted to thank the fans of the series, who deserve a round of applause.

Too often we receive praise, thanks, and flattery, and too often we miss the opportunity to put them in their place…with the fans! Home in this world is not a place, it is a relationship. “Seats” can be lost. “Relationships” can last forever. Our gratitude and love to the entire Walker family will live on forever.

He added: “It’s been a unique honor to be a part of the cast and crew (and the fans!) who helped Walker bring the stories we tell. I will forever cherish the years I spent with the cast, crew, studio, channel and fans who made it all possible. Until we walk again.

remind you Walker is a reboot of the cult series Walker, Texas Ranger (1993-2001). However, in this new series, we follow Cordell Walker, who has returned to Austin after an eleven-month infiltration. A widower and father of two, a young Texas Ranger, accompanied by a new partner, tries to contact the family and learn more about the circumstances of his wife’s death.

The cast of the show could also include Molly Hagan, Keegan Allen, Coby Bell, Mitch Pileg and Odette Annable.
