THE city of Sao Paulo is in a state of attention for flooding. According to the Climate Emergency Management Center (CGE) of the City of São Paulo, weather conditions have been affecting the capital since the early hours of this Wednesday 29th.
“Areas of instability originating in the hinterland of São Paulo cause moderate intensity rainfall in the late morning and early morning of Wednesday in the capital of São Paulo. There is a risk of gusty winds, impassable flooded areas and overflowing of rivers and streams,” the CGE says.
The capital opened with cloudy skies and heavy rain in some regions of the city, such as the north and east. Thunder is also recorded in some neighborhoods such as Limão, in the north.
To date, there have been no impacts due to rain on the functioning of the Guarulhos and Congonhas airports. There is also no trace of interference on the São Paulo metro website.
