This Tragic Death From ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Was Also The Most Predictable

It was never going to work.

Major ‘Stranger Things 4’ spoilers ahead

The day of final judgment has come for neighborbut we always knew that the scariest beast in the series ‘Stranger Things’ Netflix wasn’t going down without a fight.

Their looming threat may have been pressing hard on Hawkins, but our merry band of misfit heroes have not been intimidated. In fact, they came up with a plan that involved facing him on multiple fronts.

Unbeknownst to the main team at Hawkins, Hopper (David Harbour) and Joyce (Winona Ryder) were busy attacking the mental hive in Russia, while Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) got into the mind of Max (Sadie Sink), aka Vecna’s bait.

However, the team on the ground had much to do, and there was work for everyone.

Lucas acted as a guard dog for a max vulnerable, Erica (Priah Ferguson) was passing messages to the team in the Upside Down, and then there was Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Eddie. Regarding Erica, we must applaud the fact that we have gone from the speech of ‘Stranger Things’ does not use one of her best characters to that of “the series finally recovers Lucas Sinclair’s sister”.

Dustin and Eddie had the task of drive away the bat-demogorgons from Vecna so that Steve (Joe Keery), Robin (Maya Hawke) and Nancy (Natalia Dyer) could flambé the undesirable with Molotov cocktails and a pistol.

Sounds like a solid plan, right? What could go wrong? Many things. In fact, one of Hawkins’ heroes lost his life for the cause.

It is not a solid and fundamental member. It seems that the creators of the Netflix series continue to flee high-risk deaths, but it’s a death close enough for fans to really feel it. The adorable new addition Eddie Munson is gone. A shame because in ‘Stranger Things 4’ Eddie stars in the best reactions.

His death occurs despite Joseph Quinnthe actor behind the 80s wig, he alluded to reprising his role for the fifth season.

During an interview with DigitalSpywhen asked if he would come back, Quinn replied, “Oh yeah, I think so. I don’t see why not. I’d be furious if they didn’t bring me back.”

Okay. We are furious. Quinn’s mistake may have served to anticipate the premiere of season 4 vol 2 of ‘Stranger Things’ (in addition, we remind you that here you have everything you need to review Stranger Things 4′: release date of the end, synopsis and more). But as we dive into the lengthy finale, we can’t be too surprised.

The Duffers were preparing an emotional farewell, with signs too obvious to ignore. The old speech “don’t play the hero” that Steve gives to Eddie and Dustin was a clear hint, as was the warm and heartfelt moment between Eddie and Dustin beforehand.

“Never change, Dustin Henderson,” he says, pausing from his banter to give the teenager a moment. “Will you promise me?”

“I didn’t mean to,” Dustin replies. Between the sentimental music and the moving words, he was emotional. Suspiciously emotional.

However, Eddie’s death was set in stone from the second volume. I was literally included in his “die-Vecna-die” plan. Of all the missions doled out, Dustin and Eddie’s was possibly the least successful.

This is not to say that facing Vecna - whether in the mind or in real life – was going to be a cakewalk. But at least heThe others had been properly armed: Max with his tried and tested Kate Bush method “Running Up That Hill” (the song that ‘Stranger Things 4’ made number one on iTunes), and the others with an arsenal of effective weapons.

As for Dustin and Eddie, essentially they were sent to a knife fight. Wooden knives. Wooden knives, carved by children of 2 years. You already have an idea. There was no way they would be victorious against a swarm of bat demon beasts that numbered in the thousands.

However, the moment of no return, when Eddie’s fate was truly sealed, took place on top of his trailer in the Upside Down. “Chrissy, this is for you”he says, before strumming his Upside Down guitar strings.

The song “Master of Puppets” by Metallica it comes out of the amps and the scene is truly epic.

The dramatic element does its job, drawing the bats’ attention to Eddie and Dustin and away from Vecna, so the others can attack. Although the scene is magical, too it serves to confirm that you will not get it.

The sensational theme song serves as a backdrop for the others as they continue on with their mission. However, the intensity rises as Dustin counts down to the arrival of the bats. Once the last note is played, the seriousness of his situation becomes very real.

Bats, in unsurpassed numbers, prove that the Duffers have literally sentenced them to death. There was no way both of them could survive. They did their best, of course, to fight them off, but when they realized they were defeated, they retreated back to the real Hawkins with the bats hot on their heels.

Dustin made it back out the door, but Eddie had a change of heart.

Realizing a flaw in his plan, Eddie backtracked and turned to the dark side to make sure that the bats did not go out the door and that Dustin was safe.

There, Eddie decided to abandon what he believed to be the cowardice that made him run away when faced with danger. He turned around and faced the bats from Hell with nothing but a nail-pierced garbage can lid as his makeshift shield, and a spear (if you can even call it that).

Really? And did he really expect to survive with such limited resources? Let’s go.

Dustin, not one to leave a man behind, returns. But when he finds the leader of ‘Dungeons and Dragons’, he gets drenched in blood and is left uttering his last words.

“I love you, uncle”he tells Dustin, and Moby’s ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like To Die’ is, of course, the soundtrack of choice.

The evidence foreshadowing Eddie’s demise was clear, but it didn’t hurt any less. In the same interview with Digital Spy, Quinn was asked if this would be the year that Eddie would finally graduate, to which he replied, “He will definitely graduate, definitely.”

It may not have turned out the way we imagined, but at least it has fulfilled its big goal on your bucket list.

RIP Eddie Munson, Hawkins legend. It has finally been your year.
