70 years, 90 movies: this iconic actor from the 80s returns in an amazing sci-fi movie

Dennis Quaid’s winning comeback? After sharing the poster with Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley for The Substance by Coralie Fargeat, which won the screenplay prize at the recent Cannes Film Festival, the 70-year-old American actor will star in the sci-fi film.

Dennis Quaid Will Definitely Face Zazie Betts (Deadpool 2, Joker) and Elizabeth Debic (Tenet, The Crown) in This Blue is Mine Described by variety As “an original, sexy sci-fi drama”. This is the first feature film of Brazilian filmmaker Yuli Gerbaz.

The story takes place in a seaside resort. On a family vacation, Arthur (Dennis Quaid) surprises everyone by bringing his new girlfriend Ivy (Elizabeth Debic). The arrival of a young woman undermines the relationship between Arthur and his daughters. Connie (Zazi Bitz) is still recovering from her injury, while her older sister Laura is overprotective. One evening when Connie is drunk, Ivy reveals to him that she is actually an extraterrestrial visiting Earth and offers Connie to follow her to the planet…

The film will be the second collaboration Zazie Beetz and Dennis Quaid Following Steven Soderbergh’s series full circle. No release date has been announced yet, but This Blue is Mine will be filming in August in Columbia.
