Hugh Jackman has seen Elvis and thinks of Austin Butler, Tom Hanks and more

Hugh Jackman is used to supporting the work of his friends and colleagues, even those he “fights” with, and last week he sent a love message to Baz Luhrmann. Jackman worked with the director on the making of the 2008 epic. Australiaand recently turned to his famous Twitter account to congratulate Luhrmann on his latest blockbuster: Elviswith Austin Butler.

Not limited to the 280 characters allowed by Twitter per message, Hugh Jackman posted a selfie video which presents him in delirium Elvis for 45 seconds. The actor, who currently stars in the Broadway play the music man, explained that he went to see the film with his wife Deborra-Lee Furness and that he was part of a packed crowd that “went crazy” about the film. Jackman said,

Hugh Jackman is far from the only one to sing Elvis‘, while the film received polarizing response from critics following its Cannes premiere, it became a huge box office hit for Warner Bros.. It won the box office on its opening weekend, beating Top Gun: Maverickand made another $ 30.5 million in domestic ticket sales between last Friday and Sunday.

He says Austin Butler is doing an “amazing job” bringing rock and roll legend Elvis Presley to life, and while expectations are always high for a Tom Hanks performance, his latest work is “incredible”.
