River Plate absolute leader and Flamengo in pot 2: here is the date and time of the Libertadores draw

The matches in the round of 16 of the tournament could include duels between Brazilians

The groups of the group stage Liberators’ Cup concluded this Thursday and the next stage will be the knockout stage. The round of 16 promises heavy clashes: Flamengo and Botafogo are in the second pot and can face teams like Atlético-MG, Sao Paulo, River Plate and Palmeiras.

By the way, the team led by Abel Ferreira finished 0-0 against San Lorenzo at Allianz Parque, reached 14 points and lost the chance to play the best season of the first six rounds. The position went to River Plate, with 16 points. With this the Argentines have the advantage of being able to decide all the knockout matches at home until a possible final.

Second in the general classification is Atlético-MG, which has scored 15 points, followed by Palmeiras. It is worth mentioning that some teams in group C (Grêmio, Huachipato and Estudiantes) have matches to play. The Rio Grande do Sul club postponed the matches due to the floods that hit Rio Grande do Sul, and the two remaining duels were rescheduled for June 4 and 8.

Conmebol defined goal difference as the first tie-breaking criterion and the second is goals scored. See the following list:
