Filming of the film “Lord of the Wind” about the outstanding traveler and aeronaut Fyodor Konyukhov is underway in Moscow and Dagestan. The director of the project is Igor Voloshin, and the main role is played by Fyodor Bondarchuk. Anna Mikhalkova, Evgeny Tkachuk, Andrey Burkovsky, and Daniil Vorobyov take part in the project. The press service of the film company presented footage from the filming, in which the scene takes place on land, in water and in the air.

Fedor Konyukhov is a world famous Russian traveler, aeronaut, mountaineer, writer and artist. He made more than 50 expeditions to the most dangerous and unexplored points of the globe. He set 25 world records, some of which are listed in the Guinness Book of Records. He made five round-the-world voyages, 17 times crossed the Atlantic. He is the only one who managed to cross the Pacific Ocean from east to west and from west to east in a rowboat.

The beginning of the active process of film production became known in February. The plot of the film will be based on a round-the-world balloon flight, which Konyukhov made in 11 days in 2016 and set a world record.

The phenomenon of Fedor Konyukhov proves that the physical capabilities of a person are unlimited, and the human spirit is incomprehensible. All this automatically makes him a blockbuster hero. We want to make a film about our contemporary, an example of which will serve more than one generation – to dare and be free creators of their lives. Together with the audience, we will plunge into the inner world of a person who has the gift of negotiating with the elements, and we will witness this incredible dialogue. Sometimes very conflicting, – said the director.

According to Fyodor Bondarchuk, who will play Konyukhov, it is “a great gift and honor for him to play such a character and communicate with him in preparation for filming.”
