The anime market is in full swing. Proof of this is the recently published result of a Netflix report. The document points out that users of the platform watched more than 6 billion hours of anime in 2023.
The report highlights that during the second half of last year, Netflix users watched 3.5 billion hours of this type of content. This is a significant increase from the 2.5 billion hours watched in the first half of 2023.
The result demonstrates that the company has established itself as one of the leading streaming platforms for fans of Japanese productions. The Netflix catalog contains world-famous works. That’s it A piece, Fullmetal Alchemist, death Note, Cowboy bebopamong others.
The addition of new productions in 2024 promises to further increase the number of hours watched. In March, Netflix released its long-awaited release schedule for this year. Among the highlights are Spy x Family, Haikyu!! AND My academic world of heroes.
Anime can be understood as Japanese animation. In other words, they are Japanese cartoons or drawings. These productions can appear in the form of films or series and are usually inspired by stories from the country’s culture or based on productions belonging to the branch of literature.
