Razr 50 Ultra wins Anatel and TENAA certificates confirming hardware details; Motorola’s next premium foldable will debut in a few weeks
A Motorola is about to launch the next generation of its foldable smartphones consisting of Razr50 AND Razr50Ultraand new details have just emerged regarding the most powerful model of the duo thanks to the certifications of Anatel from Brazil and TENAA from China.

Identified as model number XT2451-3, the premium flip-sized foldable has gained approval in Brazil with compatibility for 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) networks.
While the country documents reveal no further details about the Razr 50 Ultra, the TENNA certification describes pretty much everything about the Chinese model (XT2451-4).
According to the TENAA listing, the Razr 50 Ultra will feature an external display technology OLED with a size of 4 inches and a resolution of 1272 x 1080 pixels. The internal folding display will be 6.9 inches, with OLED technology and a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels.

Based on the information, the successor to the Razr40 Ultra (revision) will have a larger external screen and will be able to maintain the high refresh rate of 144 Hz, while the internal panel does not present major changes and should also continue with the frequency up to 165 Hz.
The device will be powered by an octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 3.0 GHz, according to the TENAA listing. Although the exact details of the processor have not been revealed, rumors indicate that the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, one of the most advanced on the market.
Motorola plans to launch the Razr 50 Ultra in variants with 8GB, 12GB, 16GB and up to 18GB of memory RAMwith 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.
As for the camera set, the data reinforces the use of two 50MP sensors, one for the main lens and the other for the ultrawide lens. For selfies, the foldable display will house a 32MP front camera.

The Razr 50 Ultra’s battery capacity is listed as a total capacity of 3,830 mAh, split into two cells (998 mAh + 2832 mAh), which is 30 mAh larger than the Razr 40 Ultra.
Furthermore, the document confirms that the device will support 68 Watt (W) fast charging, a more than sufficient improvement over its predecessor that places it as the most powerful compact foldable with battery charging today, surpassing the then leader. Huawei Pocket2 and its 66 W.
The smartphone will have a fingerprint reader on the side, dimensions of 171.3 x 73.9 x 7.2 mm and a weight of approximately 188 grams, making it slightly thicker than the Razr 40 Ultra.
Motorola leaflets debuted in Brazil in June last year; the Razr 40 with a suggested price of R$5,499 and the Razr 40 Ultra which costs a whopping R$7,999 – it is not yet known whether the price will be maintained in the 2024 models.
With Anatel certification already acquired, it is practically certain that the Razr 50 Ultra will be sold in Brazil. And while the launch date is still a mystery, we just have to wait for Motorola to confirm the event to announce the new foldables.
