In Arabia, not far from the city of Agrahah, a man dressed in black walks in the desert with a parrot hanging from his shoulder. Named Jafar, he is the Sultan’s Grand Vizier and tries his best to take his place. To do this, he arranged a meeting with the thief Gazim, who must allow him to enter the mysterious Cave of Wonders in order to retrieve a magical lamp that could fulfill its owner’s wildest wishes.

Meanwhile, on the grounds of the palace, Princess Jasmine dismisses a new suitor and dreams of leaving her golden castle. As for Aladdin, a young street beggar who steals his food to survive, he longs above all else to leave his miserable condition.

  • Tonight with the Family: 32 years ago, Disney reached its highest point with this movie

Released before Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, Aladdin finds himself in the middle of a magical trio that destroyed everything in their path in the early 90s.

An instant hit at the worldwide box office and becoming the biggest success in the history of Disney Studios (two years before Simba’s dethronement), the 31st classic from the Enchanted Kingdom benefits from the talents of its two directors, Ron Clements. and John Musker, already experienced in the exercise, since they brought The Little Mermaid to life three years ago.

Complete and almost perfect Disney

Along with the cartoon, which makes it probably one of the funniest Disney movies of all time (especially thanks to the unspeakable genie in the lamp), Aladdin is also an epic, moving, perfectly paced, flawlessly animated film soundtrack.

Signed by the great Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, whose musical inspiration contributed greatly to Disney’s renaissance in the 90s, it consists of unforgettable pieces such as This is a blue dream, I am your best friend or Prince Ali.

In short, whatever your age, Aladdin is a real gem to be discovered and discovered if you’re looking for an adventure to enjoy as a family.

What will you like…

  • The secondary characters, each more hilarious than the last, starting of course with Genie. But let’s mention the monkey Abu, the parrot Iago or the flying carpet.

  • The dangerous and heroic adventure experienced by Aladdin, in the depths of the Cave of Wonders or at the end of the film, facing the fearsome Jafar.

What could be bothering them…

  • Jafar, obviously, who is undoubtedly one of the most successful Disney villains of all time. If he knows how to be funny sometimes, he is above all evil and cruel, endowed with real charisma and terrible transformations.
