The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is going through a phase of reformulation after some films fell short of expectations. The challenge to rebuild the world of superheroes is Deadpool and Wolverine, with a release date of late July this year. But Marvel is also already working on the Avengers 5.
Director Shawn Levy, from Deadpool and Wolverineis the main name under which to direct the new film Avengers. This time, the story should not only focus on the original founders of the group and the work could bring together around 60 characters from the MCU at the same time. Plus, there could be more villains.
If the initial planning is confirmed, the new film could become Marvel Studios’ biggest production, even surpassing it Ultimatum. However, the works are still in the initial phase and the launch is scheduled for May 1, 2026.
