The former player and fan idol comes to act as a link between the technical committee and the club’s board of directors
Vasco announced the hiring of Felipe as technical director on Thursday afternoon (6). The club’s idol player, Maestro arrives as one of the first measures taken by president Pedrinho after the defeat suffered by Flamengo last Sunday (2).
The role has been vacant since the end of 2023, when Abel Braga left the club. Felipe then becomes the link between the technical committee and the board of directors.
Created by São Januário, Felipe is the most successful player in Vasco’s history. The idol arrived at the club at the age of 6 and defended the Vasco shirt for 373 matches, winning seven titles: Campeonato Brasileiro (1997 and 2000), Libertadores (1998), Carioca (1998), Rio-São Paulo (1999 ), Copa Mercosul (2000) and Copa do Brasil (2011).
