Eddie’s scenes were a show of their own – literally, even appearing while playing a Metallica song – but his farewell to Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) from the character was a thrilling moment, partially improvised by actor Joseph Quinn.
Moments before Eddie left, Quinn decided to tell Dustin she loves him, creating another extraordinary moment for her character’s collection.

Among the moments audiences eagerly awaited, the writers highlighted a scene shared by Hopper (David Harbor) and Joyce (Winona Ryder).
In the process of chasing the Demogorgon to the Russian base and seeing the beloved clearly worried, the two exchange a tender kiss goodbye. The decision was made by the actors on the day of the recording and was not in the script.

In a recent interview with Deadline, Sadie Sink revealed that all actors in the cast are free to improvise on recordings, including the youngest ones.
“What all the guys loved about the Duffers is that they never treated us any differently than they would an adult cast member,” said Max’s performer. “For example, they really respected and appreciated our opinions and created a really fun environment. They have never hurt us in any way and they really listen to us and collaborate with us. “
