Wolverine was supposed to appear in the Spider-Man movie, but one detail ruined everything!

Kevin Feige may have tried to convince Hugh Jackman to wear the Wolverine suit because he loved him so much in Logan that he wanted to live with that memory, but that didn’t stop the actor from finally landing Deadpool & Wolverine. Obviously, in the meantime, the Marvel Studios boss changed his mind…

Over the course of 24 years (and yes, already…), Jackman has played the Marvel superhero no fewer than 11 times. He would certainly have added to his tally for the 12th time if an unfortunate grain of sand hadn’t gotten in the way of his plans.

Imagine if Wolverine actually had to appear in the (wrong) adventures of another Marvel character, not least of all: Spider-Man! A cameo that unfortunately never happened.

“They were really trying to get me to come in and try something, whether it was a dunk or a shot or something.” said the actor 2013 Huffington Post interview.

Problem? Jackman couldn’t find the Wolverine costume in time to film the controversial sequence. “The suit was stuck somewhere. So since they were in New York and I was in L.A., we couldn’t do it.” Still awesome.

The question remains: In which movie would Spider-Man, Wolverine appear? Of course, in The Amazing Spider-Man, where Andrew Garfield played the character, or the third and final part of the Spider-Man trilogy, which was orchestrated by Sam Raimi. At the time of these two films, there were discussions between Sony and Disney/Marvel about “swapping” the characters.
