Who doesn’t know the candy dog? The bastard became famous and became a true Brazilian symbol. Now he’s ready to take even higher flights. For example, starring in a movie on Netflix.
The streaming company announced this week that it will produce the first feature film starring the dog considered a true national heritage. The confirmation took place during the Rio2C panel, the largest creativity event in Latin America.
Titled “Caramelo”, the work will feature a dog named Amendoim, who is already being trained in São Paulo to participate in the recordings. The dog even took to the stage during the event to give a little example of his acting skills.
No further plot details have been revealed. However, according to Netflix, the film will be breathtaking and will make audiences cry. Furthermore, a release date for the work has not been announced. The film is produced by Migdal Filmes and will be directed by Diego Fontes.

The post-Brazilian symbol, the caramel dog, will be the protagonist of the Netflix film, which appeared for the first time on Olhar Digital.
