The Duffer brothers have exciting revelations for fans who want to know what happens after the shocking finale of “Stranger Things 4”.
Speaking on Josh Horowitz’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, the show’s creators explained that season five won’t have a long preamble. The episodes won’t be that long either. The reason is that the series should start directly with action scenes.
“The only reason we don’t expect it to be that long is because if you look at it, it took nearly two hours of narrative prep before our kids really got involved in the supernatural mystery. [Na 4ª temporada] you have to meet them, see them in their lives, in their struggles, adjusting to high school, Steve trying to find a girl, stuff like that, “explained Matt Duffer.”.
“For once, we’re not done with things at the end of season four,” he continued. “So it will be exciting. The characters will already be in action. They will already have a goal and a motivation, and I think that will make this season really different.”
In a conversation with Josh Horowitz, they also said they are rethinking to wrap up the season – and the series – with a final episode of “at least two hours”.
“We know what the conclusion will be like. It’s like a beacon guiding us along this journey as we write the scripts. We don’t have a concrete path yet for some parts of Season 5, but the last 30 minutes are clear in our minds. Make this journey interesting. , we hope the result is satisfactory. We cannot please everyone, but we hope to provide a conclusion that does justice to the story, “they explained.
The Duffers say the show’s fifth year will have “a time jump” to accommodate the maturation process of the cast. “We wanted to shoot seasons 4 and 5 together,” Ross complained, proving that the plot would ideally begin where “Strangers Things 4” ended.
As a result, they confirmed that season 5 will be set entirely in Hawkins. “We want to go back to a lot of the things we did in season one,” said Matt. “A lot of the original bands and couples that we had in season one – there’s something good about coming full circle.”
It’s worth noting that the new episodes haven’t started being written yet – they only exist as plans and ideas in the Duffer’s head.
Tired of working in post-production on the final episodes of the fourth year until last week, the brothers have announced that they will take a month off and will begin to meet the writers of the team, for the production of the next chapters, only from August. .
