The victim registered this Sunday died in the city of Roca Sales and had not yet been identified by forensics until the publication of this report, according to the g1 portal.
Rain leaves dead and missing in RS
The cities with the highest number of deaths are Canoas (31 deaths), Roca Sales (13 deaths) and Cruzeiro do Sul (12).
The total number of missing people decreases: from 44 to 38. More than 800 people were injured during the historic floods.
The intense rains in the RS began on April 27 in Santa Cruz do Sul and spread to more than 470 cities, overloading the river basins of Taquari, Caí, Pardo, Jacuí, Sinos and Gravataí, which overflowed. The state of Rio Grande do Sul has 497 municipalities.
In Porto Alegre, Lake Guaíba overflowed and caused disruption and flooding in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul for weeks. The lake level reached 5.36 metres, setting a new record and therefore exceeding the historical flood threshold recorded in 1941 (4.73 metres)
