World of Warcraft: The War Within arrives in August and Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred in October

As part of the Xbox Games Showcase, Blizzard announced that World of Warcraft: The War Within will release worldwide on August 26th, while Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred will arrive on October 8th.

Speaking first of all about The War Within, it is the first part of the ambitious new Soul of the Universe saga and the tenth expansion of World of Warcraft.

Players who purchase the Epic Edition or physical collector’s edition will be able to get ahead of the global launch when Early Access goes live on August 23.

Additionally, the Warcraft franchise is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, while World of Warcraft will celebrate its 20th anniversary later this year. To celebrate the upcoming global release, the WoW team has announced a new pack “Welcome to Azeroth” for a limited time to invite players new and old to explore this fantasy world and prepare them to battle the emissary of the Void herself, Xal’atath.

Offer includes: Dragonflight expansion, character upgrade to level 60 and 60 days of gameplay.

The Lord of Hatred is returning

As for Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred, it will have a new class called Natispirits, completely new to the franchise. They are experts in battle, with mystical synergies that could only be awakened deep within the jungles of Nahantu. Players who play as Natispiriti will receive Ethereal Spirits intertwined with this ancient civilization.

The expansion will be set in the new region of Nahantu, full of secrets, dangerous new dungeons, fortresses and ferocious demons from warring tribes.

As for the story, it takes place immediately after the events of Diablo IV, with players fighting to save Neyrelle from Mephisto’s ever-increasing control over her soul, still reeling from the choice she made to contain him. Neyrelle’s quest takes players deep into the ancient jungle as she battles the imprisoned Ultimate Evil. Players will have the fate of Neyrelle’s soul and the responsibility of preventing the Ultimate Evil from destroying Sanctuary.

The Vessel of Hatred also brings major updates for all Diablo IV players, with new class abilities, masterwork structures, legendary glyphs, dungeon types, Wailing Tree activities, and more.

Players won’t face the battle alone, as new mercenaries will be able to join in their quest to fight across the dense vegetation of Nahantu and beyond. These powerful allies grow stronger as they advance, and each is equipped with unique abilities to aid them in combat.

A new cooperative PvE mode where players and their friends team up to complete objectives and defeat the boss in a multi-level dungeon, receiving loot and rewards.
