When will the series air?

The series is planned to be shot in 2025. Until then, fans of the Game of Thrones world can meet the second season of House of Dragons on June 17.

Where should you stream it?

After OCS and Warner Pass, the new home of the Game of Thrones series will be the Max streaming platform (available in France on June 11, 2024). Fans of the license will be able to find all the series derived from the fantasy world, but also the following adaptations of the novels of George RR Martin.

Who plays in the series?

The main role of the series was given to Peter Clef. Little known to the general public, this former rugby player turned actor will also be in the cast of Vikings: Valhalla season three.

The 27-year-old Irishman attributes his traits to Duncan the Great (nicknamed Dunk), a knight who was after the death of his master, Sir Arlan. Despite his simple appearance, the latter shows great courage and does not shy away from standing in the service of the oppressed.

Due to his enormous size, Dunk manages to compensate for his shortcomings in martial arts with extraordinary strength. He is accompanied on his adventure by a young pirate nicknamed Egg, especially because of his completely bald head.

The latter is played by Dexter Saul Ansel, who is only ten years old. The son of English singer Jonathan Ansell, the young up-and-coming actor notably offered his qualities as a young Coriolanus Snow in the prequel to the Hunger Games saga: The Ballad of the Serpent and the Bird.

The egg’s true identity is not revealed until the end of the first of three stories, titled The Egg Knight Sinner. A child of this age can sometimes be mischievous and impudent, he is also a faithful and loyal servant of Dunk.

Dexter Saul Ansel shaved his entire head and shared the video on social networks:

What do we know about the series?

You can choose to know nothing, or vice versa, to know everything about the Knights of the Seven Kingdoms. The series is actually an adaptation of a trilogy of short stories combined into a work of the same name Chronicles of a Knight’s Sin.

Dunk’s exploits have been hinted at several times in the main series Game of Thrones, although Sir Duncan died decades before the plot began. George A.R. Clues provided by Martin also suggest that Dunk is a distant ancestor of Brienne of Tarth.

Knights of the Seven Kingdoms will be different from other Game of Thrones productions. For the first time, the series will not take place in the four corners of Westeros, but instead focus on two characters with no direct connection to the Iron Throne.

In terms of format, this new prequel will be limited to only six episodes per season (compared to the ten episodes of the other series).

Is there a sequel planned?

A total of three seasons of six episodes are planned. The series is inspired by a collection of short stories Chronicles of a Knight’s Sin; Therefore, each season will focus on one of the stories written by George AR Martin. Note, however, that to date, only one season has been officially ordered by HBO.
