Legendary Pictures already has a new director to fill the vacancy left by Adam Wingard, who will not return to direct the new film
Legendary Pictures already has a new name to direct the sequel to Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire, one of the biggest box office films of the year. According to the The Hollywood Reporter, Grant Sputorein I Am Mother (2019), was chosen to take on the task in place of Adam Wingard.
Changes in direction
