Movie Quiz: If you score 9/9, you’re a hero!

Limited to supporting roles in numerous romantic comedies in the early 2000s, Paul Rudd has managed to carve out a special place for himself in the Hollywood pantheon in recent years with starring roles in the last two major franchises.

First of all in 2015, the role of Scott Lang, better known by his superhero name, Ant-Man, a character from the Marvel stable who has the ability to shrink or, conversely, take on gigantic proportions thanks to his suit.

Then in 2021 (the year he was named Sexiest Man Alive) with the revival of the iconic ’80s Ghostbusters franchise, he played family man Gary Gruberson in a new episode called The Legacy, a role he returned to last April. In its sequel The Ice Menace.

Tonight, TMC is airing Ant-Man and the Wasp , which prompted us to take a look at its lead actor’s filmography with a quiz and nine movies to identify. Will you get a small or giant score? Before you know it, some of the filmmaking secrets will be aired tonight.

Ant-Man costume

As Ant-Man, Paul Rudd appears in a modernized version of the vintage 1960s leather suit he wore in the first film. Creating the Ant-Man costume for the original film required a tremendous amount of research and development, but Paul Rudd’s experience and experience dubbing him during filming provided important lessons for the Ant-Man team and the Wasp for this new version.

The newest lens

For certain scenes, while the performances of the actors and their stunt doubles were shot in motion capture, the Shepherd Frankel scenes were shot separately using a special Frazier lens to play differently on the dimensions of the environment.

The Frazier lens makes it possible to see what is in the foreground of the image as clearly as what is in the background. Capturing a very large depth of field for wide-angle macro shots, using this lens allowed Peyton Reed to capture every detail of close-up or distant settings to create an exaggerated look.
