Director Quentin Tarantino and his wife Daniella Pick welcomed their second child, a girl, last weekend.

The information was confirmed by the director’s reps, who shared a statement from the couple, stating that Pick gave birth on Saturday (2/7).

Tarantino and Pick got married in November 2018 and are already parents of a son, Leo, born on February 22, 2020.

The director explained on the show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that Leo was named after Pick’s grandfather, but there was much discussion about it due to the relationship they might have with Leonardo DiCaprio, star of “Once Upon a Time in … Hollywood” (2019) and “Django Unchained “(2012). “We almost didn’t mention him [Leo] because people would think I chose the name in honor of Leonardo DiCaprio “.

In this interview, Tarantino also shared that he and Pick lived in Israel after initially planning to split their time between Tel Aviv and Los Angeles before the pandemic.

“The idea was that we would spend three to four months in Tel Aviv and three to four months in Los Angeles, and then Covid hit,” he said. “So three and four months became nine, 12 months.”

The director also shared that he was learning Hebrew by watching children’s programs with Leo.

Tarantino met Pick, an Israeli singer, while promoting “Inglourious Basterds” (2009) in Israel.
