The screenwriter working on an adaptation of The Crow that was never produced has already seen the project that divided fans.
30 years ago, most of the topics were about the movie The Raven it had a polemical tone. That’s because the original project, from 1998, was marred by an on-set tragedy and became a sad milestone in the film industry. Since the announcement of the remake, there have been several statements highlighting the disagreement between fans and people involved in the first film with the studio handling the new project.
Hero Bill Skarsgard AND FKA Twigs, the reboot of the gothic horror narrative has received several statements against its existence — and now, one person who supposedly saw the film has proven most of those people right. According to Screen Geek, the screenwriter Cliff Dorfmann I already had access to part of the film.
In a post published on X (Twitter), he highlighted some problems with the project. Since we are still a few months away from the premiere of The Ravenhe quickly deleted the tweet from his account, but not quickly enough for some people to access the content and even comment on social media.
“If, hypothetically, someone attended a screening of The Crow that Lionsgate is releasing in August, perhaps they might say it’s awful, it’s unwatchable, don’t waste your money, or they can’t believe it’s much worse than the original – and that’s worse. Don’t do it.”he wrote.
