Nyong’o’s character Sam will be one of the leads, and while many would think the actress had no problem portraying him, it turns out to be the opposite, as it was the most difficult so far for a specific reason. .

It was on June 3 when in an interview with the portal “Glamour”, the Mexican expressed that her character has a cat as a pet and this caused her anxiety, since she had a very strong phobia of these animals.

His fear was so great that he even talked to the director of the film about the possibility of interacting with another animal, but he refused to do so.

“I asked director Michael Sarnoski if there was a way to change the animal. I suggested an armadillo, he wouldn’t allow it.”

Although the Oscar winner could have walked away from her participation in ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’, she did the opposite as she decided to seek help to overcome her phobia. “I had to learn a lot about myself, about this animal, before I felt comfortable doing it… My cat teaches me to relax. He lies down all day. Every now and then he gets up and gives this cat a stretch. And it’s so stylish it reminds me to get up and stretch, I guess the best antidote to feeling down is to take care of Yoyo, and it opened my heart.
