Malik asks Jim to keep an eye on Maya
Feeling guilty about the bad grades Malik and Leonard got on the first test of the exams, Maya wants to apologize to her best friend. The latter stops nodding towards him. But he insists that Maya make up her mind about Malik: either she doesn’t like him and ignores him, or she likes him and tells him. Again, Maya says that she doesn’t feel anything for Malik.
After which Maya meets Malik in the park. He takes the opportunity to apologize to her, admitting that his revenge was futile. Indeed, Carla confirmed to him that she was the one who sent the photo of her and Quentin to the Institute group. So Maya offers Malik to make peace. Relieved, the young man then wants to talk about Quentin, but Maya flatly refuses to discuss the subject. Faced with Malik’s insistence, the young girl leaves.
Meanwhile, Leroy introduces Quentin to Rose and explains that the young man wants to apply for a graduate program as a freelance candidate. Quentin says he wants to concentrate on French gastronomy and prepare a real professional project in this direction. So he leaves his CV to Rose. However, Antoine emphasizes that you must have a diploma in the master’s exam. Leroy replies that Quentin’s professional experience is worth any degree.
Rose studies Quentin’s candidacy, despite Antoine’s disapproval. He finally offers the young man a test and forces him to take the third year test next week. Antoine believes that if Quentin is first in this exam, he will be eligible to take the matriculation exam.
In the kitchen, Maya and Jimmy practice for the second round of exams. Quentin arrives to join them and asks to train with them to prepare, revealing his intention to join the Institute’s Masters. Maya happily welcomes him to their revision session. Malik, on the other hand, cooks with Tom. He observes Quentin with Maya and Jim and wonders why he is training with first years if he has to take the third year exam.
Later, Malik approaches Jasmine and Jim at the park to question them about it. He claims that Quentin preferred training with them to being around Maya. She adds that Quentin threatened her the day before at the boarding school, balancing her over the railing to make her promise to stay away from Maya. Concerned, Malik asks Jim to observe. After noticing Quentin’s strange behavior towards his partner, Jimmy accepts.
In the evening, Jimmy has dinner with his father and Quentin. During the conversation, Jim notices that Quentin knows a lot about Maya, including very specific and very personal things like her date of birth. While he goes to help his father in the kitchen, Jim has no doubt that Quentin took pictures of Maya while they were studying together during the day…
Lionel pushes the limits
Kelly wishes Lionel the best of luck with his graduation presentation. Unfortunately, the young man does not feel that way: he is depressed at the thought that Kelly will leave him in Salome Brittany. Kelly promises to look into it to find a solution once she passes the oral exam. But Lionel is categorical: he has no desire to live in a long-distance relationship doomed to failure.
At the seminar, each student will present a master’s project in front of the jury. During Mehdi’s oral exam, Lionel can’t help but talk to his classmates about his heart problems. When it’s his turn, he pitches his concept of a zero-inflation, low-carbon restaurant to a very confident panel of judges.
After tasting his dishes, the judges agree that they are not sophisticated enough. They also add that Lionel’s concept is too theoretical. He refuses to compromise, the latter becomes insolent and ends in rejection.
David confronts Hippolytus
In Double A, David asks Stanislas to give him his father’s phone number and explains that he is ready to hear his apology. However, Stanislas suggests that he doesn’t have much hope. But she agrees to give him her father’s contact information.
So David finds Hippolyte in a cafe downtown. The latter apologizes for hitting him unknowingly. Stunned, David replies that he almost died because of their cooperation. When David uses the term mistreatment, Hippolytus puts it into perspective. David realizes he doesn’t even know what he’s apologizing for. In these conditions, he refuses to ease his conscience.
Hippolytus meets him on the street and demands an explanation. David then presents his findings: Hippolytus is an empty shell, lonely and lost, unable to question himself, just trying to recover from the blows he received as a child. On the contrary, David knows that he still has his whole life ahead of him, surrounded by the people he loves. Hippolyte remains speechless.
At the park, David tells Anais what happened. The young woman is very proud of him. Stanislas goes to see him to tell him that his father has written him a letter of apology. It seems that David’s words opened his eyes.
