This is a new fantasy world not to be missed on TV! After vampires and witches, here comes the next adaptation of the Anne Rice novels

After vampires and witches, very soon we will discover the most secret society on our screens… The American channel AMC has just ordered a new series called The Talamasca, which is part of the very extensive bibliography of Anne Rice.

The latter takes us to the heart of the Order of Talamasca, a secret society designed to research, monitor and track the paranormal, such as witches, werewolves and vampires. Creatures that viewers are already familiar with, as AMC has already experienced two Anne Rice adaptations: Interview with the Vampire and The Witches of Mayfair.

Welcome to the immortal world of Anne Rice

Due in 2025, The Talamasca’s first season of 6 episodes will be written and directed by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and Mark Lafferty (Halt and Catch Fire). Filming is planned for this autumn in the regions of England…

It remains to be seen when exactly this adventure will take place and whether we will have the right to a crossover between the three performances, in the presence of Rowan (Alexandra Daddario) or Louis de la Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson).

Especially since Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches have already mentioned the existence of the Order of Thalamasca… AMC reveals that this new production will be different from the first two and it will be more of a spy series / fantasy thriller.

At the moment, the American channel is doing quite well with its two adaptations. Although Mayfair Witches received mixed reviews from the press and fans, this did not prevent it from being renewed. As far as Interview with the Vampire is concerned, this is one of the best series of 2022 and it makes sense that a second season was offered even before the first one was released.

Both are available in France on Paramount. We don’t know at this point if The Talamasca will be visible on the same streaming platform, but it’s a safe bet.
