Captain America’s shield is one of the most famous objects in the Universe wonder, but the threat of an old enemy and hordes of vampires have forced him to turn to a new model. Trying to stop the evil Baron Blood, Steve Rogers he ended up discovering a perfect weapon to fight the leeches that are taking over the current world of Casa das Ideias.

In case Hunt for bloodOR Hunt for blood, which involves a good number of Marvel heroes, vampires have invaded the streets of New York, with some major characters transformed into beings of the night. In the midst of all this, Baron Blood, a villain who has tormented Captain America since World War II, resurfaced to take revenge on Steve Rogers. But he wasn’t expecting a version of the hero’s shield that could set him on fire.
In Avengers #14, Captain America modifies his gear to take on the vampires, assembling another group of heroes to try to stop the supernatural invasion. Knowing that he could not defeat the leeches with just one punch, the leader of the Avengers created a new shield coated in silver.
He demonstrates the new equipment to Mercury, who notices that the shield isn’t behaving as usual. Rogers reveals to the speedster that it is actually a different shield, designed to combat supernatural threats, created when he was transformed into a werewolf.
Yes, Captain America had already been transformed into a werewolf in the 90s. The comics are incredible.

In editing Avengers #15, recently released, the Avengers will go on the attack against Baron Blood and his soldiers. Believing he has the upper hand, the villain tries to stop Captain America’s shield from heading towards his neck. He succeeds, but catches fire immediately afterwards.
Thanks to the silver, the Captain’s new shield has become perfect for attacking vampires, who can catch fire when they touch it. It remains to be seen whether this will be enough to turn the wave of bad luck the heroes have suffered against the leeches and turn history in humanity’s favor.
